The MLS Program has research collaborations at the national and international level:
  • Dr. Hassan Dhaini is collaborating with a colleague at the University of Arizona to identify risk factors underlying the high incidence of Bladder Cancer in Lebanese.
  • Dr. Elias Chalhoub is collaborating with the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Montpellier France to identify new ways of blocking formation of blood vessels in Cancer.
  • Dr. Mira El Chaar received funding from Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) for Molecular detection of respiratory viral infections in patients attending the emergency department and the pediatric clinics of St. George hospital.
  • Dr. Marcel Bassil is collaborating with colleagues from the Lebanese university to identify the role of the Hydrolyzed Polyacrylamide as a filler and a lifter for the human body as well as to identify the role of microorganisms in the production of biosynthetic cellulose.
