  1. Clinical Rules & Regulations
    General principles for Clinical Practice
    • Students should adhere to the clinical rules and regulations of the Nursing Program at FHS-UOB (refer to the Clinical Guidelines and Policies). 
    • Students are expected to adhere to the code of ethics of the profession and to respect the confidentiality of patient information. They should demonstrate conscientiousness in nursing acts and consideration of the individual differences of each client.
    • Students should demonstrate self-confidence, take initiative to act constructively, and seek assistance when needed.
    • Students should communicate tactfully, clearly, and concisely in speech with the health team members and with colleagues.
    • Students should work as integral members of the health care team in respect to the healthcare system policies, rules, and regulations.
    • Students are expected to protect others and themselves from any health hazards.

  2. Clinical Placement
    Nursing students are placed in clinical settings that provide them with the opportunities to apply theory to practice at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of health care.

    Saint George Hospital University Medical Center, other hospital settings, as well as other community-based health care agencies serve as a framework for clinical training.​
