Public Health and Development Sciences (PD) Program faculty members have been involved in research collaborations and committees at the national and international levels. The Program has received visiting academics from reputable international universities on Fulbright fellowships, as research scholars, and as visiting lecturers. These include Professor Jeanette Edwards of the University of Manchester, and Dr. Stephen Gelbach of the University of Massachusetts.​

Dr. Laurie AbiHabib is  collaborating with colleagues in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Manchester, UK, and  was  an "Honorary Research Fellow" there for the period 2013-2016. Dr. Nivine Abbas has been conducting research on environmental and socio-economic mitigation processes in conflict-affected areas. Dr. Myriam Mrad-Nakhlé has been working on environmental health, specifically on the impact of air pollution and health, and solid waste management. Ms. Roubina Karhily has been working on processes of accreditation.During 2017/18, the PD program is welcoming a new colleague, Dr Rana elBikai,who  has worked extensively on cardiovascular diseases, metabolic syndromes and osteoporosis

Current research interests in the Program include social determinants of health, ageing, health administration and quality assurance, health and human rights, gender and wellbeing, environmental health, E health, global health,  education and technology in public health, and medical communication for the pharmaceutical industry.
