L’Académie Libanaise De La Gastronomie Cooking Competition​

The Lebanese Academy of Gastronomy, ALG is a non-profit organization, founded in 1995 and headquartered at the Al-Bustan Hotel Beit Mery.

It is affiliated with the International Academy of Gastronomy (AIG), a group of national and regional academies in Europe and worldwide. It aims to protect and develop cultures and culinary heritage.

Every year, the ALG organizes a cooking competition where participants have to prepare traditional Lebanese dishes with a special twist. This year our students Boutros Makary and Karim Akiki represented the School of Tourism and Hotel Management at the University of Balamand in this event which was held on April 25, 2015. 

Congratulations to our student Boutros Makary who won the second prize in this competition.
