Design of a broadband, supergain and omnidirectional antenna for broadband communication systems

ABSTRACT: The speedy revolution of Antennas Technology is requiring strict electrodynamic characteristics of antennas that can provide perfect performance in different transmitting systems such as TV, Radio, GSM and other systems. These systems, especially nowadays, require light and economical antennas, improved efficiency, perfect impedance matching characteristics in addition to the ever increasing bandwidth requirements needed for future packed data applications.

The aim of this study is to give a comparative estimation of the best known and most useful antennas used in the mentioned above systems. The designed antenna which is based on self-complementary structures provides better electrical and mechanical characteristics compared to other antennas used nowadays in different systems and presented in the market of antennas technology.
