Majd Hallab Claims a Gold Medal in Turkey!

Civil Engineering student Majd Hallab, a native of Tripoli, won the gold medal in kickboxing in the 4th International Martial Arts Festival held in Istanbul from October 24 to 28.
Twenty four countries participated in the competition and Majd won the golden medal in the “Kowat Al Rami” discipline, in the "full power" category after defeating the US champion.

Majd, 20, trained for two months specifically for this martial arts festival with coach Ali Ashlan, although he has been training since he was 16 years old. An enthusiast for the sport, Majd says he does not see it at all as dangerous.

“I normally train six days a week, and for this competition I trained three times a day for 65 days despite the difficult situation in Tripoli." And his training was no walk in the park, including a focus on endurance and power training.

Majd was representing Lebanon in Istanbul after claiming first place in Lebanon in the same discipline, a new form of martial arts.

Our congratulations!
