Dr. Nasr, Assistant to the President for Academic Advancement at the University of Balamand, participated in a conference on “Financing Higher Education in Lebanon: A Call for Reforms”.

Dr. Nasr tackled the issue on Return On Investment (ROI) when an investment is made in getting a university degree. Dr. Nasr explained that the ROI is more secure if a university graduate ends up pursuing opportunities abroad. Dr. Nasr offered a number of reform initiatives calling for enhanced governance and accountability, increased focus on quality assurance, experiential learning, jobs’ creation, collaborative government-private universities endeavors, and engagement of the private sector by creating industry-university partnerships. ​
