HORECA

The School of Tourism and Hotel Management at the University of Balamand would like to congratulate its students Samir Sassine for winning the “Silver Medal” in the Bed Making Competition and Khaled Makary for winning the “Bronze Medal” in the Junior Burger Competition, in addition to other THM students getting Merit Certificates because of their participation in HORECA, which took place on Thursday the 21st of April, 2015 at Biel, Beirut. Many students from different hospitality universities and leading technical schools in Lebanon were competing to demonstrate their skills and share their culinary passion and creativity in a highly competitive atmosphere.

Hospitality Services has been organizing Horeca in Beirut since 1993 which is the region’s largest hospitality exhibition. It serves as an annual meeting place for both the hospitality and food & beverage service industries within and beyond the Middle East Region.
 
This year more than 20 daily competitions and workshops took place with more than 25 expert judges, and celebrity chefs.

In addition to the winners in HORECA, our student Boutros Makary won the second price for his participation in the competition organized by “L’Academie Libanaise De La Gastronomie”.

THM would like to congratulate the winning students and wish a better luck for next year for the students who didn’t win.
