M.A. in Specialized Translation (30 credits)
To be admitted to the Master’s program in Specialized Translation, the applicant must have achieved a cumulative average of 80/100 in the Bachelor of Arts in Languages and Translation.

TR 303 Translation Workshop Human and Social Sciences (E→A)(F→A) 3.0:3 cr.
MEM 310 Master’s Thesis.   F/E/A 6 cr.
TR 316 Specialized Translation Literature (A→E)(A→F) 3.0:3 cr.
TR 336 Text and Discourse Analyses   F/E/A 3.0:3 cr.
TR 346 Translation Theories   F/E/A 3.0:3 cr.
TR 366 Translation Workshop Scientific, Technical and Medical Texts (E→A)(F→A) 3.0:3 cr.
TR 376 Specialized Translation Economics (E→A)(F→A) 3.0:3 cr.

Remark: When students complete 24 credits of the Master’s program (TR 300, TR 302, TR 303, TR 316, TR 336, TR 346, TR 366 and TR 376), they are granted a

Diploma Certificate in Specialized Translation (The Diploma, added to the BA in Translation, is equivalent, according to the Equivalence Committee at the Ministry of Education, to a Licence d’Enseignement).

Special Translation programs:

The following  Master’s programs are offered only to students who hold a BA in other specializations than translation.

In order to apply for the Master’s programs, students should first take the following BA courses, and attain in them a cumulative average of no less than 80:
For the English track: TR 230, TR 218, TR 240

For the French track: TR 210, TR 218, TR 202
