Intercampus
Loan is a service that provides access to UOB libraries
book and periodical collections.
Who
may use Interlibrary Loan?
This
service is open to UOB faculty, staff, and currently
enrolled students.
What
materials are available via Intercampus Loan?
This
applies to materials owned by the UOB Libraries.
Books
Journal
Articles (photocopies; original Issues cannot be lent
out)
Restrictions
Items
located in Special Collections, Closed Areas or the
Reference Collection cannot be loaned out.
How
much does Intercampus Loan cost?
Books
are loaned free of charge.
Those
requesting photocopies will be charged L.L. 50 per page.
How
much time should I allow for the processing of my
Inter-campus loan request?
Requests
are processed during week days. Every effort is made to
provide the requested material within four (4) business
days.
How
will I be notified on the availability of material?
You
will be notified by e-mail through the UOB WebMail. Be
sure to have your UOB account.
Where
do I pick up / return my loans?
You
specify whether you want to pick up your materials at
the main library (Atef Danial, North Lebanon) or at the
Abi Chahla Medical Library (Achrafieh). Copies of
articles are yours to keep. Books may be returned or
renewed at either library. To pick up your material you
should have a valid UOB ID card.
How
do I submit an Intercampus Loan request?
Search
the Library Catalog (the libraries' online catalog) to
confirm holdings, status, and location of materials
owned by the UOB Libraries.
Complete
an
Inter Campus Loan Request Form
and submit to your Campus Librarian. Traditional
paper forms are also available at the Circulation Desk.
Please provide complete information. Do not use
abbreviations. Incomplete and illegible information will
delay your request and it may be returned to you. Use
one request form per book or article title.
