Message from the Director
The purpose of learning is growth, and our minds unlike our bodies, can continue growing as we continue to live (Mortimer Adler)
The Special Programs at the University of Balamand is viewed as a strategic asset that is central to the University's mission. It offers a comprehensive portfolio of educational programs aimed at building bridges to degree programs or designed to develop skills and competencies to meet the diverse needs of a variety of student groups.
Our programs are designed to: (1) help students acquire the basic skills necessary for enrolment in their desired undergraduate programs (FRESHMAN Program and Special Orientation Program-SOP); (2) provide the students with opportunities to use newly acquired skills and knowledge in real-life situations in their own community (SEED) thus developing the sense of civic engagement through service learning; (3) help students to enhance their chances of acceptance in their desired majors by undertaking preparatory courses like MCAT, SAT, and GMAT (CEP); (4) fulfilling the needs of non-traditional students by facilitating their continuous development through courses that address their professional skills, personal hobbies and interests (CEP).
The Special Programs, as well as the regular graduate and undergraduate programs, have advanced the University's presence in its communities and have earned the institution its well deserved reputation as a premier provider of diverse high quality academic opportunities.
Remember dear surfer, learning is a treasure that will follow you everywhere you go. Join us to protect this treasure and stay in touch to be informed about updated information and offerings of the various programs.
