In line with the University of Balamand’s continuous strife to place its capabilities, technology, and expertise at the service of local communities, the GIS Center at the Faculty of Engineering signed an MOU with the Municipality of Anfeh on Friday, December 4th, 2020.

Vice President for Internationalization and Engagement and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Rami Abboud received the delegation from Anfeh Municipality headed by its President Mr. Jean Nehme, Vice President Ms. Lara Issa, and Legal Advisor Mr. Kamel Anjoul. The signing was also attended by the Director of the GIS Center Dr. Amal Iaaly and GIS Analyst Mr. Nicolas Murr.

The MOU's objective is to strengthen the partnership between the University of Balamand and the Municipality of Anfeh, which enables the advancement of municipal services through reliance on smart GIS maps and e-governance technologies.
