The University of Balamand signed a Memorandum of Understanding with MALIA Group to establish a common ground for the exchange of know-how and provide training opportunities for UOB students and graduates.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Salim Kanaan, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Alumni Relations at the University of Balamand and Mr. Roger Farhat, Talent Acquisition Manager at MALIA Group in the presence of Vice President for Internationalization & Engagement and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Rami Abboud and Acting Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Walid Moubayed, in addition to university administrators.

Mr. Farhat underlined the importance of this cooperation, as it allows for the exchange of expertise and know-how with the University of Balamand as well as enhancing the performance and productivity within MALIA Group. Kanaan also emphasized the relevance of this agreement to students, as they will be provided with career guidance and training, thus preparing them for the job market.

In his turn, Vice President Kanaan, accentuated the importance of such an agreement as it is in line with the objectives of the University of Balamand and the vision of President Elias Warrak. He stressed that partnerships between higher education institutions and the private sector are crucial, especially during the current fragile situation facing the country. Efforts should be unified in order to create a better future for students and graduates.

Dr. Kanaan thanked MALIA Group on behalf of President Warrak for trusting and partnering with the University of Balamand for a better Lebanon.
