Balamand, 9 June, 2022: For the third consecutive year, the University of Balamand (UOB) succeeds in sustaining a remarkable status in the (QS 2023) World University Rankings. UOB maintained 2nd place amongst the eight ranked Lebanese universities, validating its distinguished academic status and exceptional educational level despite being the youngest amidst the eight most established Lebanese Universities.

It is worth noting that UOB ranked 1st in Lebanon when it came to the Faculty Student Ratio, and among the top 100 universities worldwide, due to its commitment and responsibility towards its students and professors, and the tireless work in providing the highest quality of education whilst focusing on a unique student experience.

The results have proven the university’s ability to uphold its leading position, in spite of the country’s prolonged social and economic depression. UOB was able to withstand the obstacles and maintain its prominent status, in face of the many challenges it encountered due to the serious shortage in funding and financial support as the national financial crisis continues to degenerate.​

Dr. Elias Warrak, UOB President, emphasized that the results highlight the dedication and commitment of the Balamandian community that has been recognized once again by the QS University World Ranking. He also remarked that this global recognition is not only an achievement for the University of Balamand, but also for Lebanon in the midst of all the adversities we are facing. Dr. Warrak extended his gratitude and appreciation to everyone who contributed to the University of Balamand.

These results are a solid testament to the University of Balamand’s commitment towards fulfilling its academic mission and social duties towards its students, faculty and staff, and alumni, which stems from its belief in the importance of serving the community and the country. The University of Balamand constantly seeks to provide superior quality of education for the Lebanese youth.​

جامعة البلمند تحصد المرتبة الثانية بين جامعات لبنان للسنة الثالثة على التوالي بحسب تصنيف QS 2023)) العالمي للجامعات

 للسنة الثالثة على التوالي حافظت جامعة البلمند على مركز متقدّم في تصنيف(QS 2023)  العالمي للجامعات، إذ قد حصدت المرتبة الثانية بين الجامعات اللبنانية الثمانية المُصنّفة، لتثبت بذلك حضورها الأكاديمي المتميّز. ويُذكَر أنّ جامعة البلمند هي أحدث جامعة من حيث التأسيس بين الجامعات اللبنانيّة المصنّفة. وبالرغم من ذلك فقد استطاعت بجدارة أن تثبت وجودها وتضمن مكانة مرموقة ومميّزة بين الجامعات.

وتجدر الإشارة إلى أنّ نسبة الطلاب إلى عدد الأساتذة كانت من العوامل المميّزة في تقييم الجامعة حيث حصدت المرتبة الأولى في لبنان في هذا السياق، وصُنّفت من بين أفضل 100 جامعة بالعالم. ويعود هذا إلى إلتزام ومسؤوليّة جامعة البلمند تجاه طلابها والأساتذة والعمل الدؤوب واللامتناهي لتوفير أجود الفرص التعليميّة وأرقاها مستوى.

يؤكّد هذا التصنيف على قدرة جامعة البلمند على الحفاظ على موقعها الرائد في ظلّ كل الظروف العصيبة التي تعصف بلبنان. ومن اللافت أنّه عقب الصعاب والتحديّات الكثيرة التي تواجه الجامعة من نقص التمويل والدعم المادي المطلوب، إلّا أنّها استطاعت التصدي لها والوقوف أمام المعوّقات لتحافظ على مرتبتها عن جدارة واستحقاق.

وبدوره أكّد رئيس جامعة البلمند الدكتور الياس وراق على أنّ نتائج التصنيف ما هي إلا ترجمة للتفاني والإلتزام الذي قدّمته أسرة جامعة البلمند، الذي قد نال تقديرا لمرّة أخرى من مؤسسة (QS) البريطانية العالمية. وقد شدّد على أن هذا الإعتراف والتقدير العالمي ليس إنجازا لجامعة البلمند حصرا، بل لوطننا الحبيب لبنان أيضا، في ظل كل الظروف الصعبة التى تحيط به. وقد وجّه شكرا كبيرا لكل من ساهم وعمل في جامعة البلمند في العام الفائت، مؤكّدا على أن هذا العمل المواظب قد ساهم برفع إسم جامعة البلمند في آفاق المعرفة.
