Faculty of Arts and Sciences professor at the University of Balamand, Dr. Elias Halabi, took part in the “Dialogue Journalism Fellows Program” Conference organized by The King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, held in Lisbon, Portugal from the 3rd to the 7th of October 2022.

The program aims to introduce participants to the best practices in covering sensitive and critical topics on religion and ethnicity in Arab Media outlets. Twenty-seven journalists from ten different Arab countries have participated in the training in order to enhance and strengthen their professional skills and expertise.

In his intervention, Dr. Halabi delivered three workshops on the 3rd of October 2022, under the titles: “Dialogue: modalities, principles and best practices”, “The role of media in promoting inter-religious dialogue for peace-building” and “Constructive Media as a partner in the inter-religious initiative”.
