A group of eight Aeronautical Engineering and Aircraft Maintenance Technology students from the Faculties of Engineering (FOE) and the Issam Fares Faculty of Technology (IFFT) at the University of Balamand took part in a one-week exclusive training program at Jordan Aircraft Maintenance Limited Academy (JORAMCO). The students’ training, which extended from the 29th of April till the 4th of May 2023, included workshops and exploration of different aircrafts. The students benefited from first-hand tangible experience of exploring how everything operates in real life scenarios. The training course provided students with the chance to apply what they had learnt at UOB and they were accompanied by Mrs. Angela Bitar, a Lecturer at FOE.

JORAMCO Academy is an independent educational institute that provides a comprehensive education in order to prepare graduate students for productive aviation careers, with a special emphasis on the needs of aircraft maintenance aviation engineering. With more than 50 years of experience, JORAMCO is the leading independent commercial aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility serving a wide range of customers in the Middle East, Europe, South Asia, Africa, Russia and the CIS countries.

On a national and regional level, UOB is well known for its exclusive and top-ranked BS/BE/MS Aeronautical Engineering programs at FOE, as well as its BTech in Aircraft Maintenance at IFFT. UOB has been working with JORAMCO Academy for the past years as part of its commitment to provide students work-based learning experiences. This partnership gives our students access to special training opportunities that complement our theoretical and applied courses.
