ALBA Students Win Green Design Innovation Award

ALBA Students Win Green Design Innovation Award

ALBA Students, Louana Khlat and Diane Abdo, have emerged as the winners of the Green Design Innovation Competition, organized by FOC DESIGN. Their project, "Wind of Designers," garnered acclaim for its exceptional creativity and sustainable approach to interior design.

Wind of Designers, a Design Hub situated at the heart of Dekwaneh, is designed to be environmentally friendly, as it is constructed using recycled materials and incorporates ample greenery, combining both functionality and beauty. The design was created using a software called RWind, which simulates wind patterns in a given space to ensure the building's form and function work well together.

Lebanese Interior Architectural and Design company, FOC DESIGN, organized the Green Design Innovation Competition in Cyprus, aiming to showcase the creative talents of Lebanese students in interior design. The competition sought to establish a connection between universities in Lebanon and Cyprus while raising awareness about the importance of sustainability. Numerous distinguished Lebanese and Cypriot universities participated in the competition, including the University of Balamand.
