Annual Preceptorship Workshop 2019

Annual Preceptorship Workshop 2019

The Nursing Program at the Faculty of Health Sciences – University of Balamand (UoB) in collaboration with the Nursing Department at SGHUMC organized its annual preceptorship workshop in August 29 and 30, 2019 at Ashrafieh campus. The aim of the workshop was to prepare actual and potential preceptors. The participants gained expertise in mentoring and evaluating students in clinical settings vis-à-vis the standards and mission of the Nursing Program at UoB.  The Program believes that preceptors, as professional nurses who monitor the transition of student nurses from theory to practice and evaluate their performance, constitute a foundation in nursing clinical training to bridge the gap between health care requirements and educational preparation.
