George Bahry:

Creator of the “I’m Not OK” App

George Bahry recently participated in the Alesco App competition that took place in Qatar, receiving a certificate and medal for reaching the finals. He was selected to represent Lebanon in the competition for his development of the Application "I’m Not OK”. His entry was one among forty-one others, and he was the youngest participant. While in Qatar, he also had the opportunity to meet and share his experience and know-how with computer specialists from other Arab countries.

The competition, an annual event, is open to Arab developers of Applications in the fields of education, culture, science and educational games. The App created by George Bahry allows you to send an “I’m not OK " message, giving your exact GPS coordinates, to designated persons when you are in need of assistance. The App is available free on Play Store.  

Bahry Award

A computer engineering student, Bahry says he enjoys all the courses for his major at Balamand but especially those on programming and logic. His areas of interest include developing Apps, websites and website technologies on Cloud. He is currently working on a new App.
