Project Objective
Develop the capacities of the UoM and municipalities in cartography, GIS, digitalisation of spatial data focusing on land use and household mapping, which will allow for better analysing and planning the needs in public services
Expected Outputs
- - Develop a GIS capacity building program for municipalities
- - Develop GIS training materials for trainees
- - Conduct the beginner, intermediate and advanced GIS training
- - Support technically Oussat wa Sahel al Qaytaa UoM in establishing and operationalizing the Technical Unit
- - Develop a GIS Data Governance Strategy
- - Develop a road map for the institutionalization of GIS within the UoM.
- - Develop an organizational framework for the GIS technical units
- - Develop a sustainability plan for the GIS Technical Units
- - Develop a Road map for GIS field data collection:
- - Develop an update and upgrade plan
- - Conduct a workshop on GIS use as a decision-making tool
