Infection Prevention and Control Medication Management and Safety



The participants may be administrative, clinical staff members, quality professionals and infection control practitioners.

Course content will include:

  • • Components of infection control program
  • • Responsibilities of an Infection Control Program
  • • Resources necessary for an infection control program
  • • Goals of an Infection Control Program
  • • Medical equipment, devices, and supplies cleaning and disinfection process
  • • Management of infectious and clinical waste





Emergency management

  • • Discuss basic principles of infection control risk assessment (ICRA)
  • • Review the list of infection prevention and control risk mitigation recommendations
  • • Outline the key components that are required for preventing the transmission
  • • Discuss recommendations to contain highly transmissible and/or epidemiologically important agents and are based on the mode of transmission of the specific pathogen
  • • Outlines the key concepts of emergency management and outbreak management including the impact of COVID -19
  • • Discuss the phases of emergency management




 





45 HOURS PER COURSE


30 hrs face time with JCI Faculty,
12 hrs self-paced learning,
3 hrs final exam
