Facts and Figures

The Faculty of Medicine has built a firm academic reputation, based upon the performance of our medical students in the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) and the number of our graduates gaining entry into prestigious US residency programs. According to recent ECFMG data, the passing rate of our medical students at their first attempt on STEP1/STEP2 CK/ and STEP 2 CS is higher than the overall average for international medical graduates. Many of our graduates are ECFMG certified with more than 100 among them currently in residencies or fellowships in the United States of America. Underlying this success is the fact that the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences undertakes a periodic evaluation of the medical curriculum to ensure continuous improvement and alignment of the curriculum objectives with international standards of Medical Education.
