The University Of Balamand has received TEPDAD Accreditation for its MD Program

The University of Balamand established the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences in 2000 with the aim of pursuing excellence in medical education and patient care. Today, the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences is confirming its international recognition by receiving the TEPDAD accreditation, the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Medical Educational Programs.

The accreditation is a milestone for the Faculty and is a recognition of meeting the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) global standards for medical education. Furthermore, it reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences to continuously improve and enhance the medical students learning experience.

Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Elias Warrak, President of UOB stated: “Our aim is to continuously reinforce the University of Balamand as a centre of excellence. We believe that it is our duty to ensure that our students have the best education that allows them to excel anywhere in the world.”

Dr. Camille Nassar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences, further added: “The faculty of medicine has built a strong and firm academic reputation and the success of our MD graduates is a testimony to that. Our departments undergo periodic evaluations of the curriculum to ensure that we are aligned with international standards and that our students receive the best medical education and training.”

With this accreditation, our MD graduates will continue to enjoy the full rights and privileges of training in the United States as foreign medical graduates.
