On October 27th 2022, the University of Balamand (UOB) welcomed Professor Mahmoud Othman, head of the Public Law Department at the Lebanese University’s Faculty of Law. Professor Othman was received by Dr. Hanna Al Nakat, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, as well as Dr. Doreen Nasr, and Ms. Dalia Koulaima from Issam Fares Learning Center.

Professor Othman presented a collection of his literary and legal publications to the Issam Fares Library Learning Center at the University of Balamand, calling for a cultural and academic relationship between the University of Balamand and the Lebanese University.

In turn, Dr. Nakat welcomed the initiative, expressing his great appreciation and gratitude for Professor Othman’s efforts. Dr. Nakat also shed light on the role the University of Balamand plays when it comes to embracing and honoring intellectual and cultural innovations.

In her intervention, Dr. Nasr urged Arabic literature students to read and explore the collection of Professor Othman, as it is of great importance on the literary and intellectual level. The visit concluded with a tour of the library, where Professor Othman praised the University of Balamand’s outstanding Library resources, in addition to its distinguished and prominent academic role in the region.
