On the 17th of November 2022, the University of Balamand welcomed the world-renowned guitarist Ayman Jarjour, who presented a musical evening at UOB Koura campus, in cooperation with the Elite Center of Culture and Education. The event was attended by the Indian Ambassador in Lebanon, the Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda, the Deputy British Ambassador, Vice President for Internationalization and Engagement at the University of Balamand Professor Rami Abboud, and Dr. Iman Darnika Al-Kamali, Director of the Elite Center.

Jarjour performed charming international music in a mesmerizing style that fascinated the audience.

In his speech, Professor Abboud stressed the pioneering cultural role of the University of Balamand, saying: "The University of Balamand plays an exceptional cultural role in Lebanon and the region, which makes it a cultural center, always striving to present and highlight the beauty in art." Professor Abboud added: "The University of Balamand would like to thank the international artist Ayman Jarjour, who shared his creativity and high-end music with us today. He reminded us of the importance of music and its magical role in spreading joy among people."

In turn, Dr. Darnika further underlined the importance of music as a prominent cultural element that unites people despite their differences. She added: "This cooperation between the Elite Center and the University of Balamand will certainly encourage the implementation of other cultural projects that Lebanon needs." ​
