The Chief Operating Officer and the Assistant to the President for Health Affairs, Dr. Youssef Bassim, took part in the “Arab Healthcare Development Annual Forum”, held in Egypt on the 10th and 11th of January 2023 as an Executive Board Member of Arab Hospitals Federation.
In his intervention, Dr. Bassim presented “The Hospital of the Future” addressing the future healthcare delivery with rapidly evolving technologies where he stressed the importance of implementing smart healthcare system in addition to smart hospital services. Dr. Bassim also underlined the effects of new digital technologies on the traditional hospitals’ structure highlighting the advantages of moving toward smart ecosystems of care.
In his speech, Dr. Bassim also stated: “The mentioned intersection of technology and medicine will certainly be considered as a medical revolution that will allow us to advance towards a new model of healthcare. Reaching 2030, the medical field will be witnessing a great advancement in healthcare sector due to this technology-driven future plan that will be implemented extensively.”
This annual forum aims to enhance Health sector in Arab countries by gathering key decision makers sharing visions and expertise in the Arab Healthcare field.
