On the 14th of May 2024 the University of Balamand (UOB) hosted the Annual Awards Ceremony at the Koura Campus. The ceremony aimed to celebrate athletes, clubs, and active students and their contribution to campus life during the academic year. The event was attended by President Warrak, vice presidents, deans, directors, faculty members, and more than 500 students.

Students from all UOB campuses were honored with 41 awards for their contributions to campus life through various activities and events. Additionally, 37 athletes were recognized for their athletic achievements throughout the academic year.

During his opening remarks, Dr. Elias Warrak emphasized the role of campus life in fostering interaction and communication among students, regardless of their academic paths.

In turn, Mr. Ghaleb Halimi, Senior Director of Athletics, Wellness, and Recreation and Mr. Michael Salem, Director of Student Affairs, provided a brief overview of their departments’ achievements. Both highlighted the significance of campus life in enhancing the overall UOB Student Experience.

Following the award ceremony, an after party was organized by the Office of Student Affairs for students featuring food and musical entertainment. Music clubs from across all campuses participated in the festivities, providing live performances during the event.
