Dr. Huda Abu-Saad Huijer, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Balamand (UOB), has been ranked among the top researchers in Lebanon in the 2026 AD Scientific Index. According to the latest rankings, she is placed #9 overall in Lebanon, holds the #1 position at UOB, and is ranked #1 in the field of nursing nationwide.

In addition to her national standing, Dr. Huijer is recognized among the top 2% of researchers worldwide, reflecting the global impact of her academic work. She is also listed among the top 15 scientists in Lebanon across all disciplines. With 19,501 citations and an H-index of 71, her research demonstrates a strong and sustained academic influence at both the regional and international levels.

Dr. Huijer’s research focuses on pain management and palliative care in both children and adults, a field in which she has made significant academic and clinical contributions. She has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed publications and two books, and has led and collaborated on numerous funded research projects in Lebanon and internationally.
