Public Lecture on the Manuscript Heritage of Our Lady of Balamand

On the occasion of the feast of Saint- Joseph of Damascus, the patron saint of the Saint- Joseph of Damascus Center for Manuscripts' Conservation and Restoration at the Patriarchal Monastery of Our Lady of Balamand, Professor Marlène Kanaan delivered a distinguished public lecture entitled The Treasury of Manuscript Heritage at the Monastery of Our Lady of Balamand.

Attended by a large audience, the lecture explored the extraordinary richness and diversity of the monastery's manuscript collection, presenting its biblical, theological, patristic, philosophical, liturgical, hagiographical, historical, polemical and apocryphal texts. The event highlighted the exceptional cultural and spiritual Antiochian heritage preserved at Balamand and underscored the Center's mission to conserve, study, and promote this invaluable legacy for future generations.
