The University of Balamand (UOB) congratulates its students and alumni who contributed to the remarkable achievement of the Lebanese Women’s National Volleyball Team, which has been crowned West Asia Champions for the third consecutive time and secured qualification for the Asian Championship.

Leading the team to this exceptional success was Captain Mira Adra, a UOB alumna and former Women’s Varsity Volleyball player. Mira’s leadership, determination, and competitive spirit were instrumental throughout the championship.

The Lebanese delegation was also led by Dr. Elie Moussa, Associate Professor at UOB, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, who served as the Head of Delegation throughout the championship. The national team also featured several members of the UOB community:

• • Marie Youssef – Current UOB student and Women’s Varsity Volleyball player
• • Lina Grad – Current UOB student and Women’s Varsity Volleyball player
• • Hanane Lababidi – UOB alumna and former Women’s Varsity Volleyball player
• • Lea Chabib – UOB alumna and former Women’s Varsity Volleyball player

Before representing Lebanon on the international stage, these athletes represented UOB Women’s Volleyball Team, contributing to numerous successes in national university championships and international competitions.

Their continued success reflects the UOB spirit of excellence, teamwork, leadership, and perseverance. Their achievements on the national and international stage are a source of pride for the entire UOB community and reflect the values they developed as members of the UOB Women’s Volleyball Team.
