Dr. Lara Chatrieh Earns PhD in Sports Science

Lara Chatrieh has successfully completed her PhD in Sports Science at Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France. Her doctoral research examined the effects of a one-year Cross-Fit training program on bone mineral content, bone mineral density, femoral neck geometry, and physical performance in physically inactive young men.

The dissertation was jointly supervised by Dr. Rawad El Hage, Professor in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at the University of Balamand, and Dr. Antonio Pinti of Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France. This research resulted in the publication of two peer-reviewed scientific articles.

The findings demonstrate that a one-year Cross-Fit training program significantly improves bone health and physical performance, supporting its potential role as a safe and feasible strategy for osteoporosis prevention.
