In an interview with Politis, Prof. Fadi Comair, Senior Executive Advisor to the President for Strategic Sustainability and Global Development at the University of Balamand, was featured in an interview in Politis as part of the “Six Facts. One Future: Water” webinar on the Eastern Mediterranean.

Prof. Comair highlighted how water scarcity is shaping the region’s future, affecting energy systems, food security, migration, and stability, and stressed the need for stronger regional cooperation and science-based solutions.

He also emphasized the importance of integrated approaches such as the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus and hydrodiplomacy to help build resilient and sustainable communities across the Eastern Mediterranean.
