TEDx University of Balamand – Out of this World

On Saturday, March 30, 2019, the TEDx team at UOB held their second edition of TEDxUniversityofBalamand, a conference devoted to spreading new ideas and spreading inspiration and leadership. The event consisted of a list of 10 speakers who include the renowned journalist, Raghida Dergham, Anthony Nahoul, Mayssa Raad, and Alan Mehanna.

Held in the Zakhem Auditorium, TEDxUniversityofBalamand introduced a number of topics to the audience, including AI technology, cinema, and personal growth. The TEDx conference was also packed with unique activities such as a huge inflatable cosmic dome and selfie box. A total of 250 attendees from all around Lebanon gathered at UOB to listen to the brilliant ideas presented by the speakers and witness the amazing shows performed by the event’s magician and break dancer.

The opening session was attended by UOB President Dr. Elias Warrak and Acting Dean of Admissions, Registration, and Student Affairs Dr. Walid Moubayed. The TEDx team have undoubtedly left a huge impact on their attendees, enriched the campus life, and, in turn, made TEDxUniversityofBalamand one of the most anticipated student events of the year at UOB.
