FAS Students Participate in the Public Speaking Competition in Classical Arabic

On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, the Beirut Arab University organized the "Public Speaking Competition in Classical Arabic" on the 21st of February 2024 at the university’s campus in Beirut. Participants were tasked with selecting one of the following topics:
  1. Artificial Intelligence and its Danger on the Future Generations.
  2. Citizenship Between Rights and Duties.
  3. Is Humanity the Enemy of the Environment?
Representing the University of Balamand in this competition were students Hanan Farasha and Katia Sleiman from the Arabic 201 course. The event was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Hanna Nakkat, and the course instructor, Dr. Dorine Nasr. Both students stood out with their presentation on the topic "Is Humanity a Threat to the Environment", earning appreciation from the committee.


المشاركة في "مسابقة إلقاء اللّغة العربيّة الفصحى"

 

لمناسبة اليوم العالميّ للّغة الأمّ نظّمت جامعة بيروت العربيّة "مسابقة الإلقاء في اللّغة العربيّة الفصحى"، وذلك يوم  الأربعاء 21 شباط 2024  في حرم الجامعة في بيروت. وكان على المشاركين أن يختاروا واحدًا من المواضيع التّالية:

1-الذّكاء الاصطناعيّ وخطورته على نشأة الأجيال.

2-المواطنة بين الحقّ والواجب.

3-هل الإنسان عدوّ البيئة؟

وقد شاركت جامعة البلمند في هذه المسابقة متمثّلة بالطّالبتين حنان فراشة وكاتيا سليمان في مادّة اللّغة العربيّة Arabic 201، بحضور عميد كلّيّة العلوم والآداب د. حنّا النّكت وأستاذة المادّة د. دورين نصر. وقد تميّزت الطّالبتان بإلقائهما وبالموضوع الذي اختارتاه (هل الإنسان عدوّ البيئة)، ونالتا استحسان اللّجنة.​
