MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

DR. HUDA ABU-SAAD HUIJER,
Dean Faculty of Health Sciences

For the third year in a row, the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at the University of Balamand (UOB) will be launching the FHS Summer Institute (SI) 2023. The FHS SI will offer a number of one-credit courses in different areas to meet the needs of our graduate students and to be responsive to the professional market place nationally and regionally. Our goal at FHS is to be a Center of Excellence in Health Sciences that is locally relevant and globally competitive; to educate health professionals in different health fields; and to undertake research relevant to the needs of society. To achieve these goals, we aim to engage the community in our academic programs thus opening avenues to develop expertise in different areas. We believe the Summer Institute will raise awareness about important health topics, will provide opportunities to health professionals seeking continuing education, and will allow UOB graduate students to enroll in elective courses.

Looking forward to a successful Summer Institute 2023.
